The Little Moon Map

Ivy: Tonight, the map glows... and it begins beneath a pillow in a room full of star stickers. Theo: Oh, that is exactly where a secret map would wait, isn’t it? Ivy: Beside her soft nightlight, with her favorite stuffed fox tucked close, the brave little girl was almost asleep. Almost. Ivy: Then her fingers found something small and warm beneath her pillow. Theo: Not a crumb, I hope. Ivy: Not a crumb. A tiny map, glowing softly in her hand. And it whispered that some starlight had been lost. Theo: Lost starlight sounds like it might need a very careful finder. Ivy: She looked at her fox. She looked at the cozy blankets. Then a mischievous breeze slipped through the room and lifted little pieces of the map into the hallway. Theo: Ooh... stay tucked in, or follow the whisper? Ivy: Her tummy gave a small flutter. But she climbed quietly from bed and followed. Ivy: In the hallway, a shallow puddle shimmered on the floor. Inside it, she saw her small reflection, eyes wide, map glowing in her hand. Theo: Sometimes you look into a puddle and see more than your face. Ivy: Yes. She saw that being brave did not mean feeling no fear. It meant taking one gentle step anyway. Ivy: She stepped around the puddle, and the map glowed brighter, as if it had found a little starlight in her. Theo: And maybe the hallway felt less dark after that. Ivy: Much less dark.
