Episode 1 · Morning Route: Wheels and Doors

Maya: Good morning, little sunshines... can you feel that warm gold light? Theo: I can, I can! It’s tickling the rooftops, um, and look, Maya, who’s coming around the corner? Maya: Why, it’s our cheerful yellow school bus, gliding down Sunny Street. Its windows wink, and its big round wheels are ready... Theo: Ready to roll? Oh, I know this one. Friends, pat your knees with me, nice and easy. Maya: Here comes our song. The wheels on the bus go round and round, Theo: Round and round, round and round! Maya: The wheels on the bus go round and round, all through the sunny town. Theo: They roll past the bakery, past the park, past, uh, that sleepy little cat. Maya: Now wait... the bus is slowing by the curb. What do you think happens next? Theo: The doors! The doors open! I mean, should we sing it? Maya: Yes, let’s sing. The doors on the bus go open and shut, Theo: Open and shut, open and shut! Maya: The doors on the bus go open and shut, all through the sunny town. Theo: Your turn, friends. Maya says, “Wheels go...” Maya: Wheels go... Theo: Round and round! You say it too, round and round! Maya: And the doors go... Theo: Open and shut! Oh, that bus is full of morning magic. Maya: It surely is. Soon we may meet its shiny windows, its friendly driver, and more little bus surprises... Theo: But for now, wave goodbye to the yellow bus. Bye, bus! Maya: Thanks for singing with us, dear friends. See you on the next bright stop.

Episode 2 · Afternoon Parade: Lights, Horn, Engine

Maya: Pat-pat your knees, take a sunny little breath... are you ready to roll? Theo: Ready, ready! Can you whisper, “Bus, bus, bus”? Maya: “Morning Route: Wheels and Doors” was a sunny morning ride that sang about wheels, doors, and a friendly chorus. Theo: And now, ooh, afternoon sunshine is sparkling! Is that our yellow bus joining the parade? Maya: Its wheels roll past the town square. Say, “Roll, roll, roll!” Theo: Roll, roll, roll! Round and round they go! Maya: The doors open wide for friends. “Open, close, open, close.” Theo: Open, close! Everybody in? Hooray! Maya: Oh... a little raindrop taps the window. The wipers go, “Swish, swish, swish.” Theo: Swish, swish, swish! Can your hands swish too? Maya: Now the parade turns the corner, and the bus lights blink bright. “Lights on!” Theo: Lights on! Blink-blink, yellow and shining! Maya: The horn sings, “Beep beep, hello!” Theo: You say it back: “Beep beep, hello!” Maya: Deep inside, the engine hums, “Vroom, vroom, vroom,” gentle and strong. Theo: Vroom, vroom, vroom! Hear the babies giggle and the grown-ups clap! Maya: Let’s sing together. Wheels roll, doors open, wipers swish along. Theo: Lights blink, horn beeps, engine hums our song! Maya: Our sunny bus rolls home with a happy little glow. Theo: Bye-bye, parade friends. Keep singing as you go!
