Why short guided episodes help
Meditation and mindfulness work best when they're easy to do regularly. Two- to ten-minute episodes lower the barrier: you can practice breathing between tasks, reset before bed, or calm anxiety without a big time commitment. NextListen creates shows with two natural-sounding hosts so the guidance feels conversational, not clinical.

A taste of the audio
From “When Anger Won't Let Go”:
Have you ever been technically done with an argument, but your body absolutely has not received the memo?
You’re making tea, answering emails, driving home, and somewhere underneath it all, you’re still having the conversation. Better this time, obviously. With much sharper lines.
This is Sit With It. I’m Zara, and today we’re sitting with anger that just will not let go.
Anger can linger because your body is still on alert, even after the moment has passed. And your mind, uh, keeps rehearsing. It’s trying to protect you, maybe, by reviewing every detail. But it can leave you stuck in the heat of it.
It might sound like, “I’m clenching my jaw, replaying every slight, drafting a sharp reply I’ll never send.”
Or, “I’m simmering in the car, fists on the wheel, telling myself, I won’t forget this.”
Yeah. That’s a lot to carry around on a Tuesday.
Anger isn’t bad. It can tell you something mattered, or that a line got crossed. But you don’t have to keep your whole body clenched around the message.
Let’s try something small, just for the next minute.
If it feels okay, put one soft hand on your chest. Not to make yourself calm, exactly. Just to give your body a little signal that you’re here.
Take a normal breath in...
And let the breath out slowly, counting in your head, one... two... three... four... five... six.
Again, an easy inhale...
And a slow exhale, one... two... three... four... five... six.
Now notice one sensation. Maybe heat. Tightness. Buzzing. Pressure in your throat. You don’t need to fix it.
